TEC means Thermal Electric Cooler which is made of "Peltier Effect" of semiconductor material. The so-called Peltier effect refers to the phenomenon that when a direct current passed through a couple composed of two semiconductor materials, one side absorbs heat and the other side release heat.Type-N and Type-P bismuth is the main material of semiconductor of TEC,Bismuth elements are electrically connected in series and heated in parallel.TEC includes some Type-P and Type-N pairs. And which are connected together by electrodes and sandwiched between two ceramic electrodes. When the current flows through the TEC, the heat generated by the current will be transferred from one side of the TEC to the other side, and the hot side and cold side will be generated on the TEC, that is the principle of TEC.
